The year she turned 15, as a middle school student, she passed the short track national team selection event and made the national team for the first time.

The breakthrough yearIn 2010, she competed in the Vancouver Olympics as the youngest member of the national team and won bronze in the 1500 m and the 1000 m. She also won the overall title at the World Championships.

In 2013, she won gold in the 1500 m at the World Championships and finished second overall. In 2014, she won bronze in the 500 m at the Sochi Olympics and gold in the 3000 m relay and the 1000 m. In October that year, three months after switching to speed skating, she was named to the national team. In 2015, she was named a winner of the 2014 Sports Awards.

In 2018, she placed 16th in the speed skating 1000 m at the Pyeongchang Olympics. She was recorded as the first skater to compete in a Winter Olympics after changing disciplines, and retired after the Games.

In 2019, she appeared on KBS2’s Wise Adult Life and said she was trying to become a clothing designer. In 2020, she launched a bag brand. In April 2021, she married, and in June she appeared on Noneun Eonni.

In 2022, she appeared on Dolsingforman as a commentator. In 2024, she appeared in Netflix’s Physical: 100 Season 2.

In 2025, she appeared on Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 with her husband. In 2026, she appeared in the Milan Olympics special of Knowing Bros.

Park Seung-hi (born Mar 28, 1992) was first named to the short track national team on Sep 20, 2007, the year she turned 15, and became known on Feb 21, 2010, the year she turned 18, when she won bronze in the women’s 1500 m at the Vancouver Olympics. In 2014, the year she turned 22, she won two golds at the Sochi Olympics.
