In 2017, “As If It’s Your Last” came out. In 2018, “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” followed. In 2019, Blackpink became the first K-pop girl group on the Coachella Sahara stage. In 2020, the first full-length album The Album came out and entered the Billboard 200 at No. 2.

The year she turned 24, she debuted as a soloist with the single R. Its title track “On the Ground” became the first by a K-pop soloist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200. In 2022, the second full-length album Born Pink sold more than a million copies on its release day. In 2023, Blackpink headlined Coachella, and at year’s end she signed with YG Entertainment for group activities only.

In June 2024, she signed an exclusive contract with The Black Label, and in October “APT.,” with Bruno Mars, became known around the world. Her first solo full-length album rosie followed in December. In January 2025, “APT.” reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and in September she won Song of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The year she turned 29, she performed in the opening act of the 68th Grammy Awards in February but did not win in any of her three nominated categories. The same month, Blackpink’s third mini album Deadline came out, and in September she released the single “new trick.”

Rosé (born Feb 11, 1997) became known when she debuted with the group Blackpink on Aug 8, 2016, the year she turned 19.     All tracks and the “Lovesick Girls” music video came out on the 2nd. It was their first full-length album, four years after debut, and ten days later it entered the Billboard 200 at No. 2, the highest position for a K-pop girl group at the time.
