The year he turned 24, he debuted as a producer with the digital single “Lemonade.” In 2014, he released his first full-length album, Novel. In 2015, he released his second album, Crumple, and signed with Tablo’s label, Highgrnd. In 2016, Crumple was nominated for Best Rap Album at the Korean Music Awards. In 2017, he released his third album, Muggles’ Mansion.

The breakthrough yearIn 2018, he joined Jay Park’s AOMG, and in September, the year he turned 29, he appeared on Mnet Show Me the Money 777 in a team with Paloalto and became known to the public. “Good Day,” a competition song he produced, reached No. 1 on the music charts.

In 2019, he was a mentor with The Quiett on High School Rapper 3. Lee Young-ji of the team won the final. In 2020, he released People, his first full-length album since joining AOMG, and appeared on Show Me the Money 9 again in a team with Paloalto. In 2021, he was named Producer of the Year at the Korean Hip-hop Awards and appeared on Show Me the Money 10 in a team with Gaeko.

In 2022, he joined the regular cast of MBC I Live Alone, and at the end of the year he won the Rookie Award in entertainment for it. In 2023, he released his fifth album, Remember Archive, and won the Popularity Award in the reality category for I Live Alone.

In 2024, his contract with AOMG ended after six years. In May, he co-founded the agency Duover with Gray and Woo Won-jae. In 2025, Duover signed Gary to an exclusive contract.

In 2026, he joined the Netflix show Yumyeong Gasuegen Hiteugogi Piryohae as a producer.
