The year he turned 33, he uploaded the first video on his YouTube cooking channel Seungwoo Appa while working at a company, and in December he posted a video on how to cook a steak. In 2019, THE PR introduced his channel as a cooking channel with 134,000 subscribers.
The breakthrough yearThe year he turned 35, he ranked 93rd in the 2020 Korea’s Power YouTuber 100, and Forbes Korea wrote that he became known for videos such as steak recipes. That October, the channel passed 1 million subscribers.
In 2021, he announced in a video that he would open a restaurant. In January 2022, he opened the restaurant Kitchen Maillard, and in February he appeared on Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant. In October he released ready meals with Simply Cook.
In February 2023, he apologized for a remark made in a live broadcast, and in March he announced a halt to his YouTube and TV activity. In July, 3Y Corporation said it was signing him.
In 2024, he appeared on Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars as a Black Spoon chef. In February 2025, he taught Jang Min-ho to cook on Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant.
In 2026, he joined the Red Team on Wavve’s The Community 2.
