The year he turned 32, he began internet broadcasting by streaming the game Civilization on Daum tvPot. In 2012, he began uploading his streams to YouTube and earning income from them.

The breakthrough yearThe year he turned 35, he became known when he was chosen as a regular guest on KBS Cool FM’s Lee So-ra’s Gayo Gwangjang. That year he also left his job to become a full-time YouTuber and partnered with CJ E&M.

As of February 2014, he had more than 630,000 YouTube subscribers, the most among Korean YouTubers, according to Maekyung Economy. In September he appeared with Yumdaeng on OnGameNet’s Kyeongime Wangkkaji. In 2015, he registered his marriage with Yumdaeng and founded the corporation Uncle Daedo. In 2016, he performed at the first DIA Festival, and in October he left AfreecaTV and moved his broadcasts to YouTube.

In 2017, EBS’s Daedoseogwan’s Job Show came out as a book. In 2018, he published Yutyubeu-ui Sin (The God of YouTube), appeared on the first broadcast of JTBC’s Lansun Life in July, and was a guest on KBS 1TV’s Achim Madang in October.

In 2019, he appeared on MBC’s Radio Star. In 2020, he appeared on MBN’s Voice Trot. In 2021, he was named in the lineup of DIA Festival 2021.

In 2023, he said on a YouTube live broadcast that he and Yumdaeng had divorced by mutual agreement. In 2024, he appeared in Netflix’s The Influencer. In 2025, the year he would have turned 47, he died on Sept. 6 at his home in Gwangjin District, Seoul.

Na Dong-hyun (born Oct 31, 1978), known online as Daedoseogwan (Great Library), began broadcasting in 2010, the year he turned 32, by streaming Civilization on Daum tvPot, and became known on Oct 28, 2013, the year he turned 35, when he was chosen as a regular guest on KBS Cool FM’s Lee So-ra’s Gayo Gwangjang. In 2016, the year he turned 38, he moved his broadcasts from AfreecaTV to YouTube.
