The breakthrough yearIn 2006, the year she turned 27, she succeeded the announcer Noh Hyun-jung as host of Star Golden Bell and began hosting with Jee Seok-jin and Kim Je-dong. At the end of the year she won the newcomer award in the MC category at the KBS Entertainment Awards.
In 2007, she won the excellence award for female MC in the show and entertainment category at the KBS Entertainment Awards. In April 2008, she handed in her resignation to KBS and became a freelancer. In December she signed with DY Entertainment.
In 2009, she married the announcer Choi Dong-seok. In 2010, she gave birth to a daughter, and that December she returned to TV as an MC of KBS Joy’s Couple Show. In 2012, she made a special appearance in Reply 1997.
In 2013, she appeared as a regular guest on JTBC’s Battle of Tongues from its first broadcast. In February 2014, she gave birth to a son, and in March she returned to Battle of Tongues. In May she appeared in Crime Scene. In 2015, she joined Crime Scene 2. In 2016, she moved to Cool Company. In 2017, she won the Hard Carry Award in the final episode of Crime Scene 3. In 2018, she was a tour guide for parents on tvN’s Amor Fati.
In 2021, she appeared in TVING’s Girls’ High School Mystery Class, and in November she became an MC of MBC’s Game of Blood. In October 2023, she said through her agency that she was going through divorce mediation.
In 2024, she won the Tirtir Popular Star Award at the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards. In 2025, she reunited with Jang Jin and Kim Ji-hoon for Netflix’s Crime Scene Zero after 10 years. In June 2026, she appeared on tvN STORY’s Namgyeoseo Mwohage.
