In 2008, the year she turned 26, she debuted in the cable channel drama Urban Legends Deja Vu Season 3: Syndrome.
The breakthrough yearThe year she turned 27, she played Oh Min-ji in KBS2’s Boys Over Flowers, and her name became known when she appeared as singer Jun Jin’s virtual wife in MBC’s We Got Married Lunar New Year special.
In 2010 she was cast in a one-act drama about boxing. The drama fell through, and in November she won a lifestyle boxing competition. In 2011 she won the Seoul newcomers amateur boxing competition and a national women’s newcomers competition, and starred in the film Meet the In-Laws. In 2012 she was picked to represent Seoul in boxing, and in December she was runner-up in the first national team selection.
In 2013 she joined the Incheon City Hall boxing team, and in April she won the final of the last selection round and became a boxing national team member. In 2014 she did not enter the National Sports Festival because of a shoulder injury. In 2015 her agency said she planned to enter the selection for the Rio Olympics national team again.
In 2016 she appeared in the Navy petty officer special of MBC’s Real Men. In 2017 she married a restaurant businessman. A son was born in January 2018, and in July she appeared in MBC’s Risky Romance, her first drama since giving birth.
In 2019 she won an Excellence Award in the mid-length drama category at the KBS Drama Awards. In 2020 she appeared in Netflix’s Sweet Home. In 2022 she appeared in Disney+’s Grid.
In 2023 she appeared in Netflix’s Zombieverse, and in December Sweet Home season 2 was released. In 2024 Sweet Home season 3 and Zombieverse: New Blood were released.
In March 2025 she announced a divorce, in July a second pregnancy, and in November the birth of a second daughter.
