In May 2015, the year she turned 20, she appeared on Mnet’s Sixteen. In October, she debuted with the group TWICE and performed “Like Ooh-Ahh.”
The breakthrough yearIn April 2016, the year she turned 21, “Cheer Up” from the second mini album Page Two set off a “sha sha sha” craze, six months after her debut. In October, the third mini album’s “TT” came out, and the album passed 200,000 copies in under a month.
In May 2017, Signal became the first TWICE album to enter Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart. In July the group made its official debut in Japan, and in October the first full-length album Twicetagram came out with “Likey.”
In 2018, the group came back twice, with What Is Love? and Yes or Yes. In April 2019, “Fancy” passed 150,000 first-week copies, a first for a girl group, and in May the Twicelights world tour opened with a show at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul.
In February 2020, they signed a partnership with Republic Records, and in June More & More first entered the Billboard 200. In October, “I Can’t Stop Me” from the second full-length album Eyes Wide Open continued a run of 14 straight hits. In 2021, they released their first English-language single, “The Feels.”
In June 2022, the year she turned 27, she released the first solo mini album Im Nayeon with “Pop!” and it entered the U.S. Billboard 200 at No. 7. In July, all members re-signed with JYP, and in August the first album with all members after re-signing, Between 1&2, came out.
In June 2023, the group became the first girl group to sell out a solo concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. In February 2024, the mini album With You-th came out, and in June the second solo mini album NA reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 again. In July, the group played Nissan Stadium in Japan, a first for a K-pop female act.
In October 2025, the group released the tenth anniversary album Ten and she received a Prime Minister’s Commendation at the Popular Culture and Arts Awards. On her birthday in 2026, the year she turned 31, she opened a personal YouTube channel, Im Nayeon.
