In 2001, the year he turned 25, he graduated from Yonsei University’s public administration department and became a producer in KBS’s 27th open recruitment. He started as an assistant director. Around 2005, he went through Happy Sunday – Heroine 6.

The breakthrough yearThe year he turned 31, KBS2’s Happy Sunday – 2 Days & 1 Night first aired on Aug. 5. Newsis and TV Report write that he made his name and face known by directing this program.

On Mar. 7, 2010, the Ganghwa Gyodong episode recorded a peak rating of 43.3% for the program. At the end of 2011, the cast of 2 Days & 1 Night shared the grand prize at the KBS Entertainment Awards. In January 2012, he was promoted to deputy general manager, grade 2, and season 1 ended in February. That November he released the pilot of The Human Condition.

In 2013, he left KBS for CJ E&M and began tvN’s Grandpas Over Flowers in July. In 2014, he won best TV variety program at the Baeksang Arts Awards and released Youth Over Flowers and Three Meals a Day in succession. In 2015, he won the grand prize in TV at the Baeksang Arts Awards and released New Journey to the West online.

In 2016, NBC’s Better Late than Never, a remake of Grandpas Over Flowers, first aired. In 2017, he began Youn’s Kitchen. In 2019, his pay of 3.725 billion won for the previous year was disclosed in a business report, and in May he opened the YouTube channel Channel 15 Nights.

In 2020, he began Friday Joy Package, which strings together short segments. In 2021, he released The Game Caterers, which he hosts himself. In 2022, he began Earth Arcade. In 2023, he moved to Egg Is Coming, a label under CJ ENM.

In 2024, he won best male variety performer in TV at the Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2025, he became a Yonsei University ambassador. In 2026, he released a new season of Youth Over Flowers and Netflix’s hiking show Take a Hike!

Na Yeong-seok (born Apr 15, 1976) joined KBS as a producer in 2001, the year he turned 25, and became known on Aug 5, 2007, the year he turned 31, when KBS2’s Happy Sunday – 2 Days & 1 Night, which he directed, first aired. He won the grand prize in TV at the Baeksang Arts Awards in 2015, the year he turned 39.
