The year he turned 26, in January 2001, he joined MBC. In 2005, Mumohan Dojeon (“Reckless Challenge”), the forerunner of Infinite Challenge, began, and the Dong-A Ilbo writes that he was an assistant director on it.

The breakthrough yearThe year he turned 31, Infinite Challenge became a standalone program and he took over direction. TV Report writes that he became a star producer by directing it. In December it won Netizens’ Choice Best Program of the Year at the MBC Entertainment Awards.

In 2007, he received the Best Program award at the MBC Program Production Awards. In 2008, Infinite Challenge reached its 100th episode and won Best Variety Program at the Baeksang Arts Awards and Best Work at the Korea PD Awards. In 2009, he won Best Work in Entertainment and the TV Directing individual award at the Korea Broadcasting Awards, and the PD Award at the MBC Entertainment Awards. In 2010, he won TV Program of the Year at the Republic of Korea National Assembly Awards.

In 2013, Infinite Challenge won Viewers’ Choice Most Popular Program at the MBC Entertainment Awards. In 2014, he held a press conference for the 400th episode, and a son was born in December. In 2017, he was promoted to head of MBC Entertainment Department 5. In 2018, Infinite Challenge ended Season 1.

In 2019, he started Hangout with Yoo with Yoo Jae-suk. In 2020, the group SSAK3 debuted on the program. In 2021, Hangout with Yoo won Best Variety Program at the Baeksang Arts Awards, and it was announced that he would direct the Netflix variety show The Hungry and the Hairy, among the first producers from a terrestrial broadcaster to do so. In September, he told MBC he intended to resign.

The year he turned 47, in January, he left MBC after 21 years, and in April he released Seoul Check-in on TVING. In 2023, he began ENA’s World Dice Tour. In 2024, he presented World Dice Tour Season 2, and in December a new variety show was reported as scheduled by MBC.

In February 2025, he started MBC’s Good Day, and in March he held the press conference for World Dice Tour Season 3. In January 2026, Netflix’s Death Game was released, produced by TEO, and in February he directed MBC’s The Secret Friends Club.

Kim Tae-ho (born 1975) joined MBC in Jan 2001, the year he turned 26, and became known when Infinite Challenge became a standalone show under his direction on May 6, 2006, the year he turned 31. His move to direct a Netflix variety show, the first by producers from a terrestrial broadcaster, was announced in 2021, the year he turned 46.
