In 2006, she entered Seoul National University’s business administration department. In 2009, she began acting on the stage.
The year she turned 25, she debuted as Princess Boryang in the KBS1 historical drama Dream of the Emperor. In 2013, she completed a master’s course at Seoul National University.

In 2015, she played Jung Min-young in KBS2’s Who Are You: School 2015. In 2016, she appeared in KBS2’s A Beautiful Mind.
In 2018, she appeared in KBS2’s Suits and was a guest on tvN’s Problematic Men twice, in July and September. In 2019, she played Lee Soo-jin in tvN’s Memories of the Alhambra.
In 2021, she appeared on History Journal That Day and in June married a doctor who is a Seoul National University alumnus. In December she appeared in TV Chosun’s Uncle. In 2022, she acted in sign language in tvN’s Adamas.
The year she turned 36, she appeared in Netflix’s The Devil’s Plan and drew attention, and in December she appeared on Radio Star. In 2024, she appeared in tvN’s Maestra.
In 2025, she had a daughter. In 2026, she became a regular cast member of MBN’s Gyeongjesa Moim and appeared in the short-form drama Huhoekkaji 168 Sigan.
Lee Si-won (born 1987) debuted in 2012, the year she turned 25, in KBS1’s Dream of the Emperor, and became known in Dec 2014, the year she turned 27, when her role as a kindergarten teacher in tvN’s Misaeng: Incomplete Life and her Seoul National University background drew attention. In 2023, the year she turned 36, she drew attention again with The Devil’s Plan.
