In 1996, the year he turned 15, he started magic, and he says he first performed on the street at Marronnier Park. In 2001, he became the first Korean to enter World Magic Seminar Japan and won the grand prix.
The breakthrough yearThe year he turned 21, he worked as a KMTV VJ and won the grand prix at a contest in South Africa and at the SAM Magic Contest in the United States. That year he appeared on KBS2’s comedy show Pokso Club, and it made his name known to the public.
In 2003, he took second place in manipulation and second overall at FISM, the first Korean and the first Asian magician to do so. In 2005, he held Magic on Stage at the Chungmu Art Hall Grand Theater. In 2006, he won first place in general magic and the Las Vegas special prize at FISM, and in December he held a show marking ten years since his debut.
In 2007, he enlisted as a magician in the Navy publicity team and in November performed at the Palais Garnier in Paris. In 2009, he was discharged. In 2010, he returned to TV on Star King and first staged The Illusion.
In 2012, he staged The Illusion for a third run at Blue Square. In 2013, he appeared on The Genius: Rule Breaker. In 2014, he signed with Media Asia of China. In 2016, he premiered Melies Illusion.
In 2019, he performed The Illusion at the Seoul Arts Center CJ Towol Theater, the first magic show there. In 2021, he appeared on King of Mask Singer as Postcard. In 2022, he held The Illusion: Masterpiece at LG Arts Center Seoul.
In 2024, he appeared on SBS’s The Magic Star. In 2025, he said he would direct the musical Sarangui Hachuping, and in December he performed TRACK. In 2026, he held his 30th anniversary show ONE OF ONE at the Sejong Center Grand Theater, and a live recording was broadcast on SBS.
Lee Eun-gyeol (born Oct 2, 1981) started magic in 1996, the year he turned 15, and became known in 2002, the year he turned 21, when he appeared on KBS2’s comedy show Pokso Club. That year he also won the grand prix at the SAM Magic Contest in the United States, and he took first place in general magic at FISM in 2006, the year he turned 25.
