In 2015, the year she turned 20, she won four times on the Dream Tour, the second-tier tour, and finished second on its money list. She debuted on the KLPGA Tour in 2016.
In 2017, the year she turned 22, she took a share of the lead at the Phantom Classic and finished the tournament third. In May 2018, she lost to Inbee Park in the final of the Doosan Match Play Championship to finish second, and in September she won the Pak Se-ri Invitational, her first win, three years after her debut. She was first in driving distance that year. In July 2019, she won the MY Munyoung Queens Park Championship for her second win, and she led the tour in average birdies that season.
The breakthrough yearThe year she turned 25, she won the U.S. Women’s Open in her first appearance, coming from five shots back after 54 holes. She was ranked 94th in the world, and Sports Times writes that the win made her name known for certain.
In 2021, the year she turned 26, she played her official LPGA Tour debut event, the Kia Classic, and in April she tied for 10th at the Lotte Championship, her first top 10 since joining the tour. In May 2022, she won the KLPGA Championship for her third win on the domestic tour, and in October she made her first hole-in-one as a pro at the Mediheal Championship.
In October 2023, the year she turned 28, she tied for 15th at the Maybank Championship. In 2024, she won the Lotte Championship, her second LPGA Tour win, 3 years 11 months after the first.
In 2025, the year she turned 30, she won the LPGA season opener for her third career win, and in August she tied for fourth at the major AIG Women’s Open. In July 2026, she finished second at the Women’s Scottish Open, and in October she tied for seventh at the Lotte Championship.
Kim A-lim (born 1995) debuted on the KLPGA Tour in 2016, the year she turned 21, and became known when she won the U.S. Women’s Open in her first appearance on Dec 15, 2020, the year she turned 25. Her first KLPGA win came in 2018, the year she turned 23.
