In 2015, the year he turned 19, he debuted as main vocalist of the seven-member boy group Romeo. In 2017, he took part in JTBC’s Mix Nine. Four Romeo members were among those who passed, and he was eliminated in the second round.
The breakthrough yearThe year he turned 24, he got an All Heart on episode 2 of TV Chosun’s Mr. Trot, and his name became known. He was eliminated in 11th place on the March 5 broadcast, and in June he released a first single as Mr. T with Kang Tae-kan, Kim Kyung-min and Lee Dae-won.
In 2021, he appeared as a guest on SBS Plus’s Jjeondangpo. He enlisted on Sept. 20, 2022. On Immortal Songs, aired Oct. 15, he shared a stage with Lee Chan-won.
He was discharged on Mar. 19, 2024, and released “Uahago Geunsahan Geudae” in June. In 2025, he sang the song on KBS2’s Lunar New Year special Trot Daejanchi.
In 2026, the year he turned 30, he took part in MBN’s Mumyeong Jeonseol from its first broadcast on Feb. 25 to its end on May 13, finishing fourth and making the top 7. In July he appeared on KBS 1TV’s Achim Madang, and in August he gave 12 million won for flood relief with his fan club.
