Around 2016, the year she turned 23, she began working as a model in Seoul. In 2017, the year she turned 24, she made her acting debut in SBS’s Reunited Worlds, and that November she was cast in MBC’s Money Flower.
In 2018, she played Crown Princess Kim So-hye in tvN’s 100 Days My Prince. In 2019, she appeared in tvN’s Abyss as Jang Hee-jin.
The breakthrough yearIn 2020, the year she turned 27, she played Yeo Da-kyung in JTBC’s The World of the Married and became known. The finale drew 28.4% nationwide, and by June eight ad endorsement deals had been reported.
In 2021, she appeared in JTBC’s Nevertheless, and in October she took the lead in Netflix’s My Name, which ranked No. 3 among TV shows worldwide on FlixPatrol on October 20 (local time). In 2022, she became a global ambassador for Balenciaga and Omega, and was nominated at the Baeksang Arts Awards for My Name.
In December 2023, Part 1 of Netflix’s Gyeongseong Creature was released. In 2024, Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 and Season 2 were released, and so was her first film, Heavy Snow.
In 2025, she attended a Rome fashion show as a Dior ambassador and began filming The Intern. In 2026, the films Project Y and The Intern opened one after the other.
