The year he turned 17, he passed Big Hit Entertainment’s first Hit It audition, placing second. The year he turned 20, he debuted in the seven-member BTS. A debut showcase was held on June 12 at Ilji Art Hall in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.

The year he turned 21, BTS’s first full-length album, Dark & Wild, came out in August. In April 2015, the group released The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 1.

The breakthrough yearThe year he turned 23, he released his first mixtape, under the name Agust D, on Aug. 16. He produced all 10 tracks himself, and Billboard covered it in a column on the 16th, local time. In September, he played the lead in the short film “First Love,” for Wings.

The year he turned 24, he took part in producing Suran’s “Wine” in April, and in May BTS won an award at the Billboard Music Awards, the first for a K-pop group. In May 2018, BTS’s third full-length album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In June 2019, the group gave the first stand-alone concert by a Korean singer at Wembley Stadium in London.

The year he turned 27, he co-produced IU’s “Eight” in May, and his second mixtape, D-2, reached No. 11 on the Billboard 200. In August, BTS’s “Dynamite” became the first song by a Korean singer to reach No. 1 on the Hot 100. In March 2021, BTS gave a stand-alone performance at the Grammy Awards, and in July D-2 passed 356 million streams on Spotify. In April 2022, he co-produced and featured on Psy’s “That That.” In June, BTS said it would continue with individual activities, and in October it held a concert in Busan.

The year he turned 30, he released the full-length solo album D-Day in April and reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. He then began a solo world tour, and in September he began service as a social service agent.

The year he turned 31, he was caught by police riding an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol in August, and received a summary order for a fine of 15 million won. In June 2025, he completed his service as a social service agent and was discharged. In 2026, BTS’s fifth full-length album, Arirang, came out, and Suga took part in producing the track “Come Over.”
