The year she turned 16, she took first place at the rhythmic gymnastics national team trials. That September she won a Beijing Olympic berth by finishing 17th in the individual all-around at the World Championships.

The breakthrough yearThe year she turned 17, she finished 12th among 24 in the individual all-around qualification at the Beijing Olympics. It was the first time in 16 years, since the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, that Korea competed in Olympic rhythmic gymnastics.

In 2009, she did not reach the final at the World Championships. In 2010, she finished 10th in the individual all-around at the Guangzhou Asian Games.

Around 2011, she in effect stopped competing in rhythmic gymnastics. In 2012, she appeared on MBC’s Dancing with the Stars season 2. In 2013, her first pitch at Jamsil Stadium, with the back illusion move, drew attention.

In 2014, she passed the pro bowler qualifying trials. In 2015, she appeared on King of Mask Singer and entered the Samho Korea Cup International Open Bowling Championship. In 2018, she appeared on Radio Star as a pro bowler.

In 2020, her casting in MBC’s web variety show Majeodeul was announced. In 2024, she took part in Miss Trot 3 and appeared in Netflix’s Physical: 100 season 2.

In 2025, she appeared on Channel A’s Baseball Queen as a player for the women’s baseball team Black Queens. In 2026, a second season of Baseball Queen was confirmed, she started pickleball, and she led stretching at Run Seoul Run 2026.

Shin Soo-ji (born Jan 8, 1991) took first place at the rhythmic gymnastics national team trials on Mar 24, 2007, the year she turned 16, and became known when she finished 12th in the Beijing Olympic individual all-around qualification on Aug 22, 2008, the year she turned 17. She passed the pro bowler qualifying trials in 2014, the year she turned 23.
