In 2010, she published her first book, Pony’s Secret Make-up Book. Pony’s Special Make-up Book came out in 2011. Around 2012, she published Pony’s Celeb Make-up Book. Around 2014, she published Pony’s Style Make-up Book.
From May to December 2015, she worked as the dedicated makeup artist of CL of 2NE1. In October she held a demonstration event in Bangkok, and on November 9 she officially launched the cosmetics brand Pony Effect.
In 2016, she posted a Taylor Swift cover makeup photo on Instagram, and a hijab makeup video that year was viewed more than 1.35 million times. In 2017, she was named to Forbes’s 30 Under 30 Asia and announced her marriage in May. In September she received a Brand of the Year award, and her YouTube channel passed 3 million subscribers.
In 2018, she was reported to have 3.7 million YouTube subscribers, 4.8 million Instagram followers and 5.9 million Weibo followers. In 2019, she appeared on Lifetime’s Tamnaneun Geunyeodeurui Sasaenghwal. In 2020, she ranked first in beauty in the Korean Standards Association’s KS-PBI content brand survey. In 2021, she was introduced as No. 1 in the influencer ranking for beauty YouTubers.
In 2022, she presented short-form content on JTBC’s Selleobi Doego Sipeo. In 2025, she appeared on tvN’s Perfect Glow, running a Korean-style beauty shop in New York. In June 2026, she ranked first in the K-Brand Index beauty influencer category, and in July she became Meditherapy’s exclusive model.
Pony (born Jan 22, 1990) became known in 2008, the year she turned 18, when she started makeup tutorials on her personal blog. On Nov 9, 2015, the year she turned 25, she launched her own cosmetics brand, Pony Effect.
