He appeared on Ulzzang TV through 2012. In 2013 he received a commendation from the head of Seongbuk District for a donation project for elderly people living alone.
The year he turned 30, he began serializing Lookism on Naver’s Friday webtoon slot. Sports Chosun described it as his official debut as a webtoon artist. In 2015 Lookism was released in Indonesia and Thailand. In 2016 it took first place on Naver’s story webtoon view ranking.
In 2017 he founded the webtoon production company The Grimm Entertainment. In 2018 Lookism was released on Line Manga in Japan, and he posted a thank-you webtoon for the arrest of the operators of an illegal webtoon site. In November 2019 he began serializing Viral Hit with the artist Kim Junghyun. In 2020 Insaeng Jonmang, made with Jeon Seon-wook, came to an end. In 2021 he serialized Show Me the Lucky Zzang! with Kim Sung-mo.
In 2022 The Grimm Entertainment raised a Series A round, and in December Lookism was released worldwide as a Netflix animated series. In 2023 he began the Ulzzang Shidae webtoon, and Lookism passed 10 billion cumulative views, the first Naver Webtoon title to do so.
In 2024 The Grimm Entertainment raised a Series B round and a Lookism pop-up store opened at Lotte Department Store. In July 2025 a pop-up store also opened at Centum City Mall in Busan.
The year he turned 42, the webtoon Beomjoedosi 0, planned with Ma Dong-seok, was introduced. In June the Netflix Japanese drama Viral Hit was released and the SBS drama Agent Kim Reactivated aired, and in September he announced that unreleased manuscripts had been leaked.
Taejun Pak (born Sep 3, 1984) began to make his name in 2009, the year he turned 25, through appearances in the Comedy TV series Ulzzang Shidae, and on Nov 20, 2014, the year he turned 30, began serializing Lookism on Naver’s Friday webtoon slot. In 2022 the series was released as a Netflix animation.
