The year she turned 22, she began auditioning for the KBS and SBS open-recruitment comedian exams. She took the exam about 10 times and failed every time. Around 2018, the open-recruitment system for comedians at broadcasters mostly disappeared. The year she turned 30, she started the YouTube channel Baekma TV with friends who had aspired to be comedians.
The breakthrough yearThe year she turned 32, she appeared as Seojun’s Mom in Psick Univ’s 05 Hakbeon Is Here in August and became known. In November she opened her personal channel Annyeonghasemi, and in early December the series had about 37 million cumulative views.
In 2023, she signed an exclusive contract with Meta Comedy, and in February Annyeonghasemi passed 100,000 subscribers. In March she appeared on MBC’s Where Is My Home and made her first appearance on Radio Star.
In May she appeared on KBS2 Boss in the Mirror, and in August on MBC King of Mask Singer. In September she received the Hot Icon award at the Brand of the Year Awards, and in October became a radio DJ for the first time, on SBS Love FM.
In 2024, she appeared on the comedians’ songs special of KBS2 Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend, and in October Netflix Comedy Revenge was released.
In August 2025, she appeared as a special guest on SBS Se Gae-ui Siseon, and in October became MC of the web variety show Sseoboni Dalla.
In July 2026, she released the new song “Mwondeul Mot Hagesseoyo” with Kim So-yu as a trot duo.
