After about seven years as a dance-sport athlete from around age 15, she turned to comedy, and in 2012, the year she turned 20, she won Gag King 2 on SBS’s Star King. In 2014 she passed the Comedy Big League audition after failing KBS’s open recruitment four times, and debuted. The same year she won Best New Comedienne at the Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards. In 2018 she appeared on tvN’s The Great Escape as Gu Ha-ri.
The breakthrough yearThe year she turned 29, she signed with Cube Entertainment in March, and in June an interview with “Director Yoo” Yoo Jae-suk on Hangout with Yoo made her name known, seven years after her debut. In October she showed her alter ego Gil Eun-ji on I Live Alone, and in December she won the Variety Star award at the same Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards.
In 2022 she appeared on tvN’s Earth Arcade with Mimi, Lee Young-ji and An Yu-jin. In 2023 she won Best Female Variety Performer in TV at the Baeksang Arts Awards and became the DJ of KBS’s Music Plaza. At the end of the year she also won DJ of the Year at the KBS Entertainment Awards.
In 2024 she hosted SBS Plus’s Real Dating Lab: Poisoned Apple and appeared in Netflix’s Agents of Mystery and TV Chosun’s Mr. Trot 3. In 2025 she appeared in Duel! Paeng Bong Paeng Bong and Earth Arcade 3 in quick succession, and in November she became an MC of Poisoned Apple season 2.
In 2026 she left Cube Entertainment, signed with Black Paper and left Music Plaza after three years. That year she also began the spin-off Space Rice Cake Shop.
Lee Eun-ji (born Jan 16, 1992) debuted in 2014, the year she turned 22, on tvN’s Comedy Big League, and became known on Jun 5, 2021, the year she turned 29, when she appeared in the interview with “Director Yoo” on MBC’s Hangout with Yoo, after seven years of obscurity since her debut. She won Best Female Variety Performer in TV at the Baeksang Arts Awards in 2023, the year she turned 31.
