The breakthrough yearThe year she turned 27, she became known as the Slap Girl in Bongsunga School on KBS2’s Gag Concert, seven years after her debut. She says she was 19 when she joined the broadcaster and 27 when she made her name.

In 2003, she left Gag Concert for SBS’s People Looking for a Laugh and introduced the Nanda Kim character. In 2005, she released a trot album under the name Nanda Kim. Around 2007, she appeared in SBS’s Ghost Pang Pang. In 2009, she started Danyeoogesseumnida on KBS Joy.

In 2011, she joined season 3 of MBC Every1’s Infinite Girls. Around 2012, she appeared in MBN’s Vampire Idol. In 2013, season 3 of Infinite Girls ended.

In 2015, she started the podcast Bimil Bojang with Song Eun-i, and in the fall she appeared as a virtual couple with Yoon Jung-soo on JTBC’s With You, season 2. From November she hosted a radio show on SBS Love FM. In 2016, she started Sister’s Slam Dunk and won the Baeksang Arts Awards TV category female variety award and the Top Excellence Award at the KBS Entertainment Awards.

In 2017, she became an MC of SBS’s Same Bed, Different Dreams 2, and the virtual marriage on With You, season 2 ended after 713 days. In 2018, she started KBS2’s Problem Child in House and received a Prime Minister’s Commendation at the Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards. In 2019, she started MBC’s Where Is My Home, and at the end of the year she won the Top Excellence Award at the MBC Entertainment Awards.

In 2020, she won the Grand Prize at the KBS Entertainment Awards, her first, 25 years after her debut. In 2021, she won Entertainer of the Year at the KBS Entertainment Awards. In 2022, she released “That Woman Is Me” with Baek Ji-young as the duo Baeksook. In 2023, she won Entertainer of the Year at the KBS Entertainment Awards again.

In 2024, KBS2’s Beat Coin ended after 553 days. In 2025, she started Netflix’s Screwballs, and at the end of the year she won the female Top Excellence Award at the MBC Entertainment Awards, in the 30th year since her debut. In 2026, she started season 6 of MBC’s Late Night Ghost Talk and won Best Female Entertainer at the Blue Dragon Series Awards.
