The breakthrough yearThe year she turned 13, she played the young Yoon Bo-kyung in MBC’s Moon Embracing the Sun. Herald Muse writes that she made her face known through this drama. That year she also appeared in child roles in Rooftop Prince in March and Missing You in November, and in December she received the MBC Drama Awards child actor award.

In 2013, she tried hosting Show! Music Core and played the young Jang Hye-sung in I Can Hear Your Voice. In 2014, she received the Drama Special award at the KBS Drama Awards. In 2015, she played a dual role in Who Are You: School 2015.

In 2016, she appeared in Bring It On, Ghost and, in the film The Last Princess, played the young Princess Deokhye. In 2017, she played Han Ga-eun in The Emperor: Owner of the Mask. In 2018, she played the radio writer Song Geu-rim in Radio Romance.

The year she turned 20, Netflix’s Love Alarm was released in more than 190 countries, and The Tale of Nokdu began in September. In October 2020, her casting as Pyeonggang in River Where the Moon Rises was confirmed. In 2021, River Where the Moon Rises aired and Love Alarm season 2 was released.

In 2022, she moved to Ieum Hashtag. In 2023, she played Mok Sol-hee in My Lovely Liar. In 2024, her casting in Good Boy was confirmed.

In 2025, she played Ji Han-na in Good Boy, and in August she signed with Peachy. In 2026, she was named on the presenter list for the Baeksang Arts Awards and was confirmed for White Scandal. Love Doctor premieres on Oct. 5.
