The year he turned 26, he joined Mnet as a producer. Some articles give 2004 as the year he joined. In 2011, he served as the producer in charge of the first broadcast of tvN’s Korea’s Got Talent. In 2012, he attended the Korea’s Got Talent 2 press conference as the director.

The breakthrough yearThe year he turned 37, he directed tvN’s The Genius: Rules of the Game, 11 years after he joined. In December he began season 2.

Season 2 ended in February 2014, and in September he held the press conference for season 3. In 2015, he held the press conference for The Genius: Grand Final.

In 2016, he started Noraeui Tansaeng, and in October The Society Game aired for the first time. In 2018, he started Great Escape with Kang Ho-dong. In 2019, he started Great Escape 2. In 2020, he put out Great Escape 3.

In 2021, he released TVING’s Girls’ High Mystery Class, and in March season 2 was confirmed. In 2022, he left CJ ENM, and in October he showed his employee ID for the production company TEO.

In 2023, he released The Devil’s Plan on Netflix. In 2024, he released Agents of Mystery. In 2025, he released The Devil’s Plan: Death Room.

In July 2026, the cast of The Devil’s Plan 3 was reported, with release due in the second half of the year.

Jung Jong-yeon (born 1976) joined Mnet as a producer in 2002, the year he turned 26, and became known when he directed tvN’s The Genius: Rules of the Game on Apr 26, 2013, the year he turned 37. In 2022, the year he turned 46, he left CJ ENM.
