In July 2017, the year she turned 16, she appeared as an enrolled student on Mnet’s Idol School. She was not among the nine members of the debut team announced in the September finale.
The breakthrough yearIn June 2018, the year she turned 17, she appeared on Mnet’s Produce 48. On Aug. 31, she placed 3rd in the final ranking and made the Iz*One debut group. On Oct. 29, she formally debuted with the first mini album Color*Iz.
In April 2019, Iz*One’s second mini album Heart*Iz and “Violeta” came out. In November, the first full-length album was postponed amid the Produce vote-rigging controversy. In February 2020, she resumed activities with the first full-length album Bloom*Iz, and in June she released the third mini album Oneiric Diary and “Secret Story of the Swan.” In December, she released One-reeler / Act IV.
In April 2021, Iz*One’s activities ended after two and a half years. In September, she released the duet “Autumn Memories” with Lee Seok-hoon, and on Oct. 7 she debuted as a soloist with her first single, “Glassy.”
In June 2022, she released the first mini album Op.22 Y-Waltz: in Major and “Love Shhh!” In July, she made her acting debut as Oroshi in the web drama Mimicus. In October, she released the second single Op.22 Y-Waltz: in Minor and “Loveable,” and in December she made a cameo in TVING’s Work Later, Drink Now 2.
In May 2023, she released the Lipton campaign song “Yellow Circle” with Chae Soo-bin. In June, she was named in the second casting lineup for Netflix’s Squid Game season 2, and in August she released the second mini album Love All and “Taxi.”
On Dec. 26, 2024, the year she turned 23, Squid Game season 2 was released, with her as Player 222 Kim Jun-hee. In May 2025, she won an acting award for new artists at ASEA 2025 in Yokohama, Japan, her first-ever rookie award. In Squid Game season 3, released June 27, Kim Jun-hee gives birth inside the game venue. In July, she released the third mini album Episode 25 and “Farewell for Now!”
In September 2026, the year she turned 25, Lee Chang-dong’s Netflix film Possible Love opened, with her as the young Mi-ok, the character played by Jeon Do-yeon.
Jo Yuri (born Oct 22, 2001) became known on Aug 31, 2018, the year she turned 17, when she placed 3rd on Produce 48 and made the Iz*One debut group. Two months later, on Oct 29, 2018, she debuted with “La Vie en Rose,” and on Oct 7, 2021, the year she turned 20, she debuted as a solo singer. On Jul 22, 2022, the year she turned 21, she also debuted as an actress.
