The breakthrough yearThe year she turned 18, the music video for “Lollipop,” a mobile phone advertisement song she sang with Big Bang, was released in April, and Herald Business wrote that 2NE1 became famous before its debut. A month later she officially debuted as the leader of 2NE1 with “Fire,” and in November the group won Best New Female Artist at the MAMA.
In 2010, the group released its first full-length album, To Anyone. In 2011, the music video for “I Am the Best” was released. In 2012, “I Love You,” which combined trot with other styles, reached first place on music charts.
In 2013, she released her first solo song, “The Baddest Female,” four years after her debut. In 2014, 2NE1’s second full-length album, Crush, reached No. 61 on the Billboard 200, and she announced her move into the U.S. market together with Scooter Braun.

In 2020, she released the single “+HWA+.” In 2021, she released her first full-length album, Alpha, and appeared on NBC’s The Kelly Clarkson Show in the United States. In 2022, she performed with the full 2NE1 lineup at Coachella. In 2023, she made a cameo in a music video by Offset.
In 2024, she took the stage with the full group for the first time in about 10 years and 6 months at the 2NE1 concert in Seoul. In April 2025, she continued the tour with encore shows.
