Around 2013, the year he turned 21 and left the Marine Corps, he started CrossFit. In 2019, he placed 2nd at the CrossFit Asia Championship in China. In 2020, he launched a YouTube channel about exercise and daily life.
In 2021, he became a Lululemon ambassador, but a scooter accident the same year badly injured his ankle and kept him from competing for about a year. In 2023, he won the YouTuber bodybuilding contest Show Me the Body.
The breakthrough yearThe year he turned 32, he survived the wildcard round on Netflix’s Physical: 100 season 2 and won the final, 11 years after he started CrossFit. He also signed with Bonboo ENT and married that year.
In 2025, he entered the HYROX Seoul race and won Physical: Asia as part of Korea’s team. At the end of the year, he appeared on tvN’s Muscle Farmers. In January 2026, he said on Radio Star that he proposed with his prize money, and in February he appeared on Synchro Game. In March he won the HYROX event in London, and in June he shared the birth of a daughter.
